Through a dialogue between archival footage and contemporary Ballroom scenes in Austin, Texas, I Mean, I am Somebody. traces the enduring rhythms of a culture that has continually reinvented itself across generations. As archival footage weaves into present-day performances, this reveals how identity is not only expressed but rehearsed, inherited, and transformed on the floor. Rather than presenting Ballroom as a singular history, this film explores its evolution across time and place, inviting viewers to recognize both the constants and the regional distinctions that shape the community today. The gestures, fashion, movement, and rituals captured decades apart echo one another, collapsing the distance between past and present. By placing these worlds in conversation, the film highlights Ballroom as both an archive of lived experience and a space of ongoing self-definition. Rooted in the Ballrooms of Austin, Texas while reaching toward a broader cultural lineage, the film celebrates the resilience, artistry, and collective memory that continue to sustain Ballroom culture across the world.

A short-documentary chronicling Transformations Youth Group, an organization led by and serving QTGNC of color during their “Liberation Camp”, in the Ozarks.

The film follows Doc’s journey through his time in the military, boxing, and kink, and his stuggles with identity, revealing
how combining the sport of boxing and the world of kink helped him define strength and masculinity on his own terms.
As the founder of the New Y ork/Northeast chapter of Onyx, a leather organization that offers membership, education, and
support for Black and Brown people within the kink and BDSM community, Doc’s life is a lens through which we can gain
a better understanding of the experiences of queer men of color .
Blending archival materials, intimate interviews, and vérité footage that paints a cinematic picture of past and present
queer scenes. Doc's voice in the interviews is the thread that weaves this story together . There are also moments where
we step into the ring and the vérité is used to amplify the erotic tension, the athleticism, and the dangers that one might
experience when participating in this kink.

Fighting Spaces

A short documentary about Doc, a semi-professional boxer and military veteran from the Bronx, whose erotic curiosites at an early age, influenced and opened doors for others in the leather community.

"We, the Collective" is an independently-produced documentary film that explores the New York nightlife ecosystem as a means of social and economic mobility for Black &amp; brown people of the queer and trans experience. As history has shown throughout the decades, New York's nightlife has often been credited as a tool for collective care within the LGBTQ+ community. As the film highlights specific art collectives, party organizers, and community organizers who have found themselves at the intersection of the nightlife scene and the reclaiming of space, “We, the Collective” sparks a much-needed conversation about the layered nature of affirmation, access, and liberation for the most vulnerable among us

We, the Collective

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2020 uprising against police brutality, NYC nightlife organizers find affirmation in their broader purpose to create a safe space for black and brown LGBTQ+ people.

This witty and irreverent documentary introduces the Rice Rockettes, an Asian Drag family from San Francisco that has persisted for 15 years despite rapidly changing attitudes towards the art form. The matriarch of the family, Estee Longah, acts as narrator and covers topics such as found family, queer joy, what it takes to be a drag queen, and the future of drag families in America. The film traces their found family lineage from Tita Aida, a beloved Filipina Trans activist from the Bay Area. Interviews with other members of the family include Vermicelli Versace, Doncha, Kristi Yomichuchi, Buka Kay, and Peipei Mabilz. Their creative and collaborative dynamic is portrayed through behind the scenes footage of their 15 year anniversary show. Footage of their performance and interviews are cleverly stitched with audio from the house mother to deliver an inspiring message for future Asian baby queens. Much like Paris Is Burning, this film provides a vital account of a lesser-known corner of Queer subculture that includes Asian Americans from the West Coast.

A lighthearted and upbeat documentary that introduces the Rice Rockettes, an Asian Drag family from San Francisco that has performed together for over 15 years despite it all.

Southern Son Shine is an intimate short documentary illuminating the lives of Black queer men living with HIV in the American South. Through the voices of men representing different generations and lived experiences, the film explores what it means to navigate identity, stigma, love, resilience, and the evolving realities of HIV.
Moving beyond statistics and traditional public health narratives, Southern Son Shine centers the humanity of its storytellers, their vulnerability, wisdom, joy, and determination to live fully. Their stories reveal both how far we have come and the work that remains in dismantling the silence and stigma surrounding HIV, particularly within Black and queer communities.
Rooted in Southern storytelling and intergenerational reflection, Southern Son Shine is ultimately a testament to visibility, survival, and the power of telling our own stories. It invites audiences to see Black queer men living with HIV not simply through the lens of diagnosis, but as whole people whose lives continue to shine.

Two queer drag creatures—a cow from the Alps and a panther from the Amazon—set out on a journey through a world shaped by monocultures, cattle farming, and colonial violence, traveling from burnt forests to melting glaciers. Along the way, they move between ritual, protest, and unexpected encounters. De-Domestication is a poetic and political road movie, following the pop cow and the sacred jaguar as they celebrate transformation, freedom, and the power of rewilded imagination.
